Surface Technology

Surface technology, research and development are taking place today with increasing intensity compared to previous years. While earlier house facades in warm areas were painted with lime to change the effects of the sun on the surface, today highly technical insulations, colour and ecologically safe materials are used as construction solutions. We see the use of increasing surface modification and their implementation in practice as surface technology.

Because of the multiplicity of options and needs, this spectrum is thankfully a broad one. Additional functionalities range from mechanical protection, barrier protection, interfacial interaction, electrical function, optical function to targeted change of the free surface energy to provide the existing substrates with further additional uses and advantages.
