The principle
- Is based on minimizing free surface energy with self-organizing anti-adhesion structures.
Product properties
- Suitable for metal, glass, ceramics, stone and plastic surfaces
- Simplest application (e.g. by spraying or dipping, liquid coating, room temperature or thermal drying)
- Transparent coating, good adhesion to the substrate without complicated pre-treatment
- Low surface energies: < 24 mN/m2 contact angle approx... 110°C against water and approx. 60°C against hexadecane
- Anti-adhesive and Easy - to – Clean characteristics, optional corrosive protection (for metals)
- Long-life inert surface protection with very good mechanical and chemical consistence
- Optional additional anti-bacterial characteristics or protection from moss, fungus and algae (algaecide and fungicide) is also possible
Effects
- Persistent hydophobation (moisture repellent). Also additional oleophobation (oil repellent), drip off behaviour towards water and organic fluids which sets new standards
- Anti-adhesive characteristics through extreme smoothing (e.g. in sanitary facilities)
- Low renewed or repeat pollution making cleaning much easier and less prone to bacterial adhesion
